By gray , what you really meant was apex silver, like my 05 apex silver MR ..paint code A31

i agree with the ~250 of each colour. Might not be the rarest USDM ( RS =most likely ) but i have one of 250 from the 2005 MY and to me that is pretty rare. Even if you say 1 of 2500 2005 Evo's in total, that is still not many.....much less than the BMW m3 for example

Yup, wagons hands down. Wagon GTs to be specific (though there are probably more GTs than GTAs).

I don't know man, In Japan i see way more gta wagons than the GT's.

one of these days i'll get my wife to write to Mitsubishi Japan and see if we can get their actual production numbers for the evo wagon.

Perhaps she can find out all production numbers even USDM.
It would be nice to get an official list and stop all this speculation.

That's interesting, maybe I see more GTs here because there is much less demand for the GTAs.

2500 wagons were produced (same volume as the TME), I don't know what the split between the GTs and the GTAs is though.

yeah it seems in japan the usual evo wagon owner is in their 40-50's!

on a side note i found the profile page (japanese website) of my cars previous owner with details of its modifications etc. which is pretty cool! seems like the guy loved this car and took good care of it!

This is what I got from searching

0358 - Evolution IX RS
3667 - Evolution IX (includes SE editions)
4176 - Evolution IX MR
8201 - Total exported Evolution IX to North America (USA)

EVO 8 numbers (general)
03 - 2500
04 - 4500 (of which 500 were the RS)
05 - 4497

OTHER:Evolution Start Total Produced
I 10/92 2 Lots of 2,500 = 5,000
II 1/94 5,000
III 2/95 5,000
IV 8/96 2 Lots 6,000+3,000= 9,000
V 1/98 7,617
VI 1/99 7,981 TME 1/00 2,924
VII 1/01 2 Lots 9,991+3,487 = 13,478

I have a WW IX RS with 20k miles on it......not stock
I am gonna keep the miles really low and see what it is worth in a few years
