I disagree with most of these posts, the ix is not common also not rare yet. 8k or so were brought to the USA. Compared to 60,000 mustangs or 50,000 Camaros, 18,000 m3. Of the 8k here how many have been killed? How many are track only cars? How many will get wrecked. This debate has been had before. The ix will become rare as time goes on. If you split up the 8k over 50 states it's 160 cars per state. m3 360 cars per state-

 

Makes me proud to own an WW VIII MR. I wish we could see exact break down of every model, trim and color.

Owning any 03-06 evo is cool in itself though.

 

Rare is a 2006 Tarmac Black Evo 9 MR SE

 

The rarest evo is one that has 100k miles and is completely stock.

Posted many years aga, I put up some production numbers from the early years, the only one I can remember was that the 2004 EVO's ALL 4789 so not many at all, thinking thats the same for the VIII's production, that being less the 5k per year.

I think the rarest colour is the medium purple mica. None in the US. One in my country, seen one in Jamaica, and a couple on UK websites.

There was an FQ version in this colour too.

 

The USDM 8 MRs only came in four colors. Those being white, red, black and gray. There are also only little over 1000 of them. 250-260 in each color.

I have an VIII MR. It's Silver.

 

2005 GG MR are the rarest around.

 

I would have to agree this variety is rare. At the recent MOD at Mitsu HQ in Cypress, California, the rarest color I noticed of all the VIII-IX's on display was black.

 

Well, mine is next to stock with 101K miles on the odo. All I've done is the JDM rear bumper and a Ralliart rear upper strut bar.
