Interior door handle broken. Need help!!!
Interior door handle broken. Need help!!!
My interior door handle broke again. The previous owner installed power locks since the RS doesnt come with them stock. In order to pull the locking mechanism on the plastic handle, the installer had to drill a small hole so the lever (metal rod) could fit inside and unlock/lock the car. Guessing by what happened the first time, this piece has snapped and now i cannot lock the passenger side with my key fob; i have to do it manually. Any advise on how to fix this? Do the models that come with power locks have a predrilled hole? Any help is appreciated. Thanks
You should be able to find a replacement door handle in the market place or if you don't mind paying a bit more at the dealership too. I had my power lock button die on me (I had power doors and windows installed on the front doors) and I just searched the marketplace on evom and found a power lock switch eventually for $10. Worked like a charm, man I love the evom marketplace!
Yea. Im trying to get ahold of a door handle but the handle breaking is the problem. This is the second time this has happened. The area where the locking arm is inserted is pretty thin and it snapped. Im wondering if models with stock power locks has a predrilled hole because the one i bought from mitsubishi had no hole for the locking arm. i had to drill a hole for it. I might try some kind of glue but it probably wont hold up very long. like i said before, any help is appreciated. dont want to have to deal with this every few months.
