my evo is in a million pieces :(

Just venting. I took apart my evo 8 a week ago and haven't had the time or energy to get it back together. I just bought the car and the clutch is bad. didn't notice any problems on the test drive, than 2 days later, buzz saw noise when i release the clutch in 1st gear from a dead stop. took me about 2 weeks and i couldn't take it anymore. I pulled the trany off and proceeded to strip a flywheel bolt. and she's been sitting there like this for the last week. very sad. I am going to vegas next weekend and I work 8-9 hours every day. not a lot of energy or light to work on this thing. what to do. pay a mobile mechanic. or just suck it up and get that thing back together. I know I can do it. it just takes so much energy I get so exhausted after small intervals of work. and the patience so difficult to take my time.

Suck it up and do it. It took me 4 weeks to do my own clutch on my busy schedule. It's possible. You have to force yourself to get it done.

Same situation. Bought my car online and it arrived with a slipping clutch. Save yourself some money and do it your self.

Idk man, maybe working on your own car isn't for some people. I always enjoy doing every little thing myself.

if you want it bad enough, and have some people that can/will help you, you just got to put in the wrench time

I agree... suck it up and do it yourself, it'll be worth it once you can drive her again. I dont trust mobile mehecanics. (not saying all of them are bad, I just trust myself more lol)
