I took my VIII on a 2,800 mile road trip back in '08 from PDX down to Sonoma, Cali (WORKS), then up to Montana, & finally back to PDX. Wish I could take trips like that more often... Car felt fantastic the whole way! For my size, the Recaro's are perfect & offer all the support I could ask for! I drove from San Fran to Montana (1,381 miles) in one shot. It took me 23.5 hours driving straight there. I'd stop for fuel, grub, & to use the john. Drove through all kinds of weather. Blistering heat in Cali, freezing temps in the Idaho mountains accompanied with snow, rain & hail in Montana. The Evo took it all like a champ! My best MPG came out to 28...which I think is generous for what the Evo offers in return. The only thing that was starting to get slightly annoying on the trip was the road noise from the Advan tires. Having to listen to that soundtrack for that many miles, at times at speeds of 75-85, it was starting to get to me just a little... Otherwise, no other complaints!

I drove from san diego to sacramento (500 miles) alone it was a longgg ride

-the car was literally PACKED with all my stuff. Trunk was full, backseats stacked, and passenger seat full. I think there's a good amount of space

-It's hard to keep the car below 100... you either go like 70 the whole time, or the car starts to veer off into the 100's and you won't even notice it.

get ittttt

I drove my 8 4000 miles in 4 1/2 days from kentucky to anchorage, ak alone. The car was much more comfortable than I thought it would be. The stock Recaro's are surprisingly comfortable over long distances, for me anyway. My back seat was completely loaded down and the car handled great the whole way, not one mechanical issue. I have s-techs on mine and I will admit the ride got a bit rattling throughout the Alcan and the mountain passes. But other than that, not a bad vehicle to take over long distances.
