Upgraded throttle body hose for Evo IX?

I had my throttle hose pop off on the highway the other day. From experience with other Evo drivers having the same issue, hoses tend to keep doing this once they pop off the first time so I am looking to replace the hose. Ideally I'd replace it with something silicon or stainless to get a nicer look in the process. I haven't been able to find one searching around though. I found a turbo inlet hose (i.e. the hose that's NOT under pressure ?!) but that's it. Anyone used a hose they can recommend?

Thanks!

I assume your referring to the coupler hose for the upper intercooler pipe to the throttle body?

I been using Hose Techniques couplers & T-Bolt clamps @ 27.5 PSI w/ zero trouble

I got my tbolt clamps from above, their stuff is pretty nice. I ended up just buying a hard UICP with silicone couplers that are quite small, no issues with it blowing off at the throttle body since then.

Yes that is what I am referring to. Do they make a specific hose for that, or did you just use one of their "off the shelf" hoses and get it to fit? If so, which one?

Thanks again!

Hair spray and tbolt clamps. Had the same issue tbolt and the hairspray fixed it.

Good question Charles. Would not be comfortable quoting the size. Just measure the O.D of the intake or the I.D. of the OEM hose & find one off the shelf w/ the supplier

Like your screen name. I should have choose that one LOL

Peace, Joe
