Track Times

Hey i wanted to know what guys with about 400-450 whp are running on a track. Im currently at 306 and i have run a 12.46 in the 1/4 mile. The track i run at is really strict and at 11.5s you need a cage. Will 400-450 whp push that limit i dont really feel like putting a cage in my car since i drive it often and would be a pain for everyone to get in and out of. Thanks in advance all my current mods and specs are in my sig thanks!!

just let off if you don't want to break out. you will certainly be capable of 11.50s with 400 on a mustang dyno and proper driving

I've pulled an 11.8ish with around 400 wheel. but then again that was granny shifting and not really launching the car.

Like milford said, Just let off.

Find a new track?

How is the local track rules affecting how you build your car? I don't get it. If you love running at the track so much you'd be heartbroken if they kicked you out for an 11.4, I think you'd have researched bracket racing/breaking out a little more.

And yeah, 450whp can push the limit of 11.5.

I pulled 11.4 @ 116 with 424whp on a dynojet. Set a goal and cbrd will take care of u. Great guys over there! 11.5 all day with good driving if u make 450whp on there dyno.

Spoolin4g63 , that seems pretty impressive times for the amount of power , did u do anything to remove weight ? I'm curious what I could run if i drove the car well I have 381 whp 386 wheel tq stock weight any idea what i could do with that I wasnt sure if i could break below 12 seconds but after seing your post i think maybe it is possible ?
