whats the most WHP a stock can hold?
The tranny and t-case are good for a lot of power. Keep fresh fluids in them. If you have some bad launches you may grenade your t case. The trans may start to grind at high rpm shifts and need new syncros eventually but other than that it will hold together fine.
The stock clutch is where your problem is. You will know when its not holding anymore. You will hit it and smell the horrible smell of clutch for a while. I'd say like 300whp on stock clutch maybe. Clutch should be one of the first 10 mods i think

I honestly think it also depends how much miles ur evo got...I mean a car that's got 100k miles will be less capable of holding more power than an evo that's got 30k on it, I'm excluding the clutch

My stock clutch gave out very fast at 330+ whp with stock turbo... replaced it with an ACT HDSS broke 400+ whp and then the 6-spd trans blew up, replaced that with a Shep ultimate ratio 5-spd, now my transfer case is probably next up.
I have the stock clutch, tranny, tcase with 100k on 21lbs with 350AWHP. No slipping, daily driver. I don't ever launch the car. I'm assuming I will purchase a new clutch in the near future just to keep up with the car's maintenance. I'm flushing fluids next week.
