well glad it was a simple mistake!
go get it tuned and post up vids and results!

I was gonna say hydrolock just from the "pouring rain" and low AFR and giving it gas to stay running. but glad you found it dude

just got home after 2 1/2 hours from picking the car up. Since I didn't have tools with me, I limped to a car audio store where I wrenched the tbolt clamp down.
BUT, the bastard decides to pop off again after a few minutes on the freeway
from there, it kept popping back off, no matter how tame I kept it. I had to put it back on a good 20 times. It rained the entire time.
NOW, I get to remove my throttle body because the spring was wrapped once too many so its now too tight. My pedal takes wayy too much effort to push.
Wouldn't my hose have popped off during a boost leak test?
I'm really frustrated

there isn't much you can do until you get tuned.
I would try degreasing the TB elbow and then take some hair spray and use it to coat the inside of the tb elbow.
Typically the hose clamps use an 8mm socket. Forget using a screwdriver, use a socket wrench to tighten the clamp.
also, I would highly recommend that you invest in t-bolt clamps in the future

siliconeintakes.com sells a whole evo tbolt clamp kit covering all major parts it was like 27+shipping i would invest in that if i were you
i have tbolt clamps throughout, the shop didn't torque it down at all.
I just yanked my TB to fix the spring tension and reinstalled it with a newer uicp I had laying around.
MUCH better. My old one was mushy and didn't clamp very well

should I be wondering if the shop even did a boost leak test?

It doesn't sound like they did. They'd have to be blind and deaf to not notice a leak like that. Like others said, try the hairspray trick and definitely use a socket to tighten down the t-bolt clamp as much as you can. I wouldn't worry too much about going too tight either. I really wrenched on mine to tighten it up as far as I could and it's fine.Originally Posted by prowakeskater

everythings in good shape now. I had to remove the TB to fix the spring and such.
I really needed that boost leak test. I spent $1400 at this shop

Pull the hose off and clean the oil and stuff off of it. Then re-attach it. should be fine.
Also, if you run into this issue again, There is a way to put the car in "limp mode" to get home. I think it's if you unplug the MAF and TPS. I'm not 100% sure on that though.
