do i need to retighten ARP headstuds?

Installed arp headstuds 1000km ago. 21psi + no water loss. do I need to retiten? Thanks

I always like to check the torque, sometimes they've loosened a bit after the initial heat cycling.

I never retightened mine, I think as long as you follow the proper inital torque sequence you should be good.

Yes retorque them. The heat cycling will cause some to loosen a little

I always re-torque mine after a couple heat cycles.

This was one of the reasons why I choose map head studs instead of arp, they are designed to not require retorquing after install

So they are probably OK. But because we love are cars I will do them for fun will post results in two days time.

I always re torque head studs, no matter what bolts/ studs were used!
It makes sense to do so, doesn't it?
2 different metals tightened with another type of metal onto a soft gasket that go through extreme pressure and heat...
It takes 20 minutes and is a good insurance policy

Had taken me 2 hours and all was good. Torque was perfect.

Not a wast of my time we always Learn..
