agreed haha i don't want something that will vibrate the dirt lol i just hate how mine sounds stock completely. I may just do -2/-1 and see if it hits a lick any. Hopefully only minor adjustments required.

I like -2i/-3e. This setting produces moderate lope but still retains great upper midrange power, good spool and decent topend.

The lopiest settings are like: +2i/0e, +1i/-1e. These advanced settings have the lamest topend but provide the best turbo spool up and low and midrange torque.

You might try asking ABY as he has run these cams and has some personal favorite settings all his own.

TedB is the cam timing GURU among other things.

Curt Brown set some MPH trap records back in the old days with the HKS 280's and a stock evo VIII turbo. I am not sure but I think that his sweet setting was -3i/-2e. I may be wrong as this was a really long time ago when I was still a child. You'd have to ask him about the lopiness of that setting.

i think i may go with -3/-1 and if no lope then -2/-1 or hopefully this IAC cures it somehow

Like I said, I really like -2/-3. I have tried this setting on both my O.S. Green, and now my FP Red and I love it. It produces great turbo spool up, good topend pull and a generally smooth but somewhat lopey idle. TedB recommended this setting to me as I just couldn't handle the rumbly idle and stalling characteristics of +2/0 and still wanted some decent topend power for the highway.

Get in touch with Aby as he dynoed a lot of the different settings for the 280's on his Evo.

If you like the way it performs off idle. Only reduce the timing at idle.
