the car is not that loud... as far as all the talk towards police.. every since 4 of them beat my friend up for not wanting to stop talking... **** a cop... no respect...
cause the cops in NYC will allow a LOUD *** harley bike or v8 car drive right by... yet i pull off at a stop sign i get pulled over and issued a ticket... when i ask him why he didn't ticket the other guy... "o that's a muscle car they're made like that..."

Sucks that you guys have so much trouble with exhaust levels in the states. Its not uncommon to see cars with no cat and no exhaust in Japan.

I made my car quiet because I can't stand the loud exhaust drone. I went with a boost actuated exhaust cutout attached to a factory catback. The boost cutout starts to open at around 5 psi and is fully open at 11 psi. Cruising on the highway and daily driving is nice and quiet, except when I decide to get all over it.

As far as cops are concerned... there are A-holes at every work place. Its just when a cop has a bad day, things can get way out of hand.

Here are some pics of the exhaust cutout:

most states now days are anything other than stock is illegal.. I got some ebay exhaust and resonated test pipe. loud as hell. I grabbed a silencer off ebay for like 12 bucks and put it in when I wanna be quiet.. only takes a min to put in or out.. major difference

I got an exhaust ticket in forest park GA. No decibel level on the books so I thought I had it made. I got the ticket in stop and go traffic. Even if I was open header there was no way I was making that much noise.

Judge fined me extra. Bumped into the cop 6 months later and he laughed it off telling me he and his other cop buddies were having a ticket competition.

I love cops but there are a few @$$h0l3$ that should've never gotten a badge and a gun.

FOr the record i had the Greddy Ti-C and never had an issue. I have since upgraded to a Tomei full Ti and still good so far.

OP: If it doesn't bother you, leave it on. It sounds too good to get rid of.

Where'd you get that from? I had wanted one but the one place that had them (it's been so long I can't remember their name) were always back ordered or something

Get an oval muffler style exhaust instead of a canister style. I went with a Tanabe Super Medallion and it's only a little louder than stock at idle and driving around even with a test pipe.
