1. It would do nothing but harm.

2. It's a waste of money

3. I needed a number three to warrant my using a list formed response

Oh, and enjoy your trip

I think it was my 15,000 mile service interval that called for injector cleaning, I do all of these types of services myself with the exception of oil changes, included in pit-pass, and my service manager advised me to use the royal purple fuel treatment, you can pick it up at Napa.

I would stay away from that stuff for an Evo engine. There isn't any harm in using quality fuel injector cleaners with every other oil change or so (I like Chevron Techron myself), but I don't trust those "stop leak" type products. If the name is "save gas" I would be suspicious that it might junk up the fuel system.

Once a year it's good to throw in some BG44k on any fuel injected car. It's almost identical to Chevron's Techron fuel injector cleaner but much more potent. Chevron's cleaner is diluted a lot and BG44k is full strength. Typically a dealer only chemical but most people can find it on their own on the internet. If you're interested I can point you in the right direction, just PM me. On a road trip this would be perfect as you'll on average be running a consistent engine speed for longer periods of time.
Then once every two years I would have a rail flush done. Of course I'm very picky about this because I come from a history of 300zx where injectors costs a lot and they're a major pain to replace. And there's two more than the Evo.
