So, I'm installing a new clutch and replaced the TOB with a new OEM unit. The service manual calls for grease on the contact points between the TOB and fork. My question is, is there grease required between the TOB and the guide shaft? It seems weird to have no lube where there's metal on metal contact.

 

I've replaced many clutches in my time and i always lubricate the shaft guide and every single contact point,but that's just me,i think it should be lubricated after being cleaned.
