o2 sensor HELP!!!

o2 sensor HELP!!!

first off, wow i havent been on evoM in so long... miss reading all the awesome threads on this site....

anyways, i just replaced my o2 sensor but it was done by my local shop...

i recently got it back and when i was going up my drive way/garage i hear a lil scrap... like metal hitting concrete... so i bust out my MagLight and i see this o2 sensor sticking down...





this is wrong right? please give me all your opinions on these pics...

Looks like your cat is on its side. Don't know how that could be though, because then you'd have a huge exhaust leak.

so it was a wrong re install of both the cata and o2 sensor?

either way I bring her back tomorrow morning... EARLY!!!

The O2 sensor normally goes in the top of the cat. Looks like they installed your cat upside down but the flanges shouldn't line up then so you probably also have a huge exhaust leak.
Hope you haven't destroyed the sensor already by hitting the concrete, these sensors are very sensitive.

upside down and backwards. You have an EVO 9 CAT in your car, that's where the 9's rear o2 sensor is located. The 8 has it's rear o2 sensor in the cat back pipe just after the cat. Normally that doesn't make much of a difference except when some idiot installs the sensor in the wrong location.
