Bov /sputter, brakes and rpm issues! Please help.

Hopefully a few of you can give some insite to the issues im experiences and help me fix them to make my Evo more enjoyable to drive.

First off i bought my Evo last spring from a buddy and he picked it ip already modified.
It is an 06 Evo IX, 45k on the car. Only mods i know that it has is Injen intake, manual boost controller, turbo smart dual valve BOV and a 3" downpipe back exhuast " i think its a chinese brand it has no badging".

The first issue and the one that bugs me the most is the BOV / sputtering issue!
Everytime im driving in 3rd, 4th or 5th gear and I give it any kind of load "boost" and let off the gas the car feels like it cuts out right as the BOV goes off! At first i thought it was due to the dual valve "mean half blows into the atmosphere and half blows back into the intake" so i capped the side blowing to the atmosphere and it still does it. The BOV also sputters or bounces type sound, not just a single release if the helps or makes sense?

Also i have no clue if this ECU has ever been touched or modified.

Second problem and just as irritating is when i tak the car to Redline "lets say in first gear" then then throw it into Neutral it will take almost 10 seconds for the RPM's to come back down. Again i dont know if its something with the ECU, or if i have a vacuum leak and its causing extra air to get into the intake when the throttle is closed causing RPMS to stay up longer or if its something completely different!

The third issue and im sure i know what it is, im just trying to verify! Every single time i get into my car to drive it the very first time i hit the Brakes they squeel! Then after that they dont anymore till i stop and dont drive for at least 20 min then they will do it again. When i bought the car it had one wheelmthat would squeel every time i would brake so the guy threw in some cheap ebay Brembo cross drilled and slotted rotors and some pads. I have a feeling it is just cheap pads and i just need some knew good quality ones. If that is the issue please give me some options.

Sorry for the novel guys and i hope this is in the right section. Thank you again.

Danny K..

sputtering

When you say sputter your not talking about the BOV flutter that all turbo cars do are you?

No sir, its the engine. It will actually make me lean forward in my seat a little from cutting out. It is almost like something is messing with the MAF. Thats why i capped the part of the BOV that went to the atmosphere so that the air would stay monitored by the MAF. So im lost.

Does ur buddy know anything about these issues? Did all these things happen to him? Id start out by getting rid of that bov and putting the stock one back on and doing a boost leak check. Check all your vac lines and get rid of the mbc, is it on stock psi?

My buddy didnt know anything about the car. He only had it for 3 months and sold it to me cause his wife said he had to many cars. Haha

I will try that, i have been looking for a factor BOV for awhile now and i keep missing them in to boy one.
I want to hook up the factory boost valve also i just have not gotten to it. He left it in there so thats a good thing. It seems to be on stock boost at least thats what the factory MR guage shows that i have.

Thanks for the help so far.
