im curious as to what others think, but do you feel our cars are a target for getting vandalised????

earlier this year my car was keyed in a parking lot over at a popular hot spot that has lots of bars and restaurants. my thoughts were it was either someone who didnt like me, for some unknown reason, or it was a jealous person, or just some scumbag that doesnt like imports.

keep in mind the gentleman that just recently had some drunken asswipe spray paint the side of his car.

im honestly starting to see a trend here.....

 

I would say its just a disreguard for others property. Then its jealous people. I hate to take my IX to school in fear of not seeing it for awhile. I always see the scum of the earth looking at it. D**K HEADS!!!

 

I had someone dump a whole 20oz coke on my car outside of the PX on base... I was pretty pissed especially since it was like 120 degrees outside and I had to go wash it. Thats about as exciting as it gets for me.

 

I don't know if this counts as vandalism but I took my Evo to Pep-boys to get my front axles changed and they somehow managed to forget there was a center truck lift up between my front bumper and IC, backed the car up and ripped my front bumper off the only reason I took it there was because I have an extended 5 year warranty and oem front axles were $1,600. I took it to get an estimate...$1,330 in damages. One week later (Yesterday) I received my $1,300 check

 

Asshats are just that, their just looking for an excuse to screw with other people's ****! They don't even need an excuse sometimes, just look at the door dings and the the bumpers and you'll realize some people just don't care about their rides. I've come out from doing a quick run into the mall, even parked all by myself at the end of the lot to find some retard parked ON TOP OF MY GRILL when I came out!!! That's why I have a old 84' Supra that I daily drive everywhere, its a tank and the bumpers and trim show it!! I still try to park away from people, but realistically **** happens!! I just try to minimize the exposure to my EVO!!

Somebody shot my passenger side up with paintballs a while back. Thank goodness there was no damage. Dirtbags will be dirtbags.

 

I don't think Evo's are targeted more than any other car. In general it's just that people don't care about other peoples stuff. Also people don't want to take responsibility for their actions especially if they can get away with it.

 

I do think they are targeted over other vehicles... I really do... if your in a parking lot and a dick wants to be a dick, he will choose your evo over the camery.... my $.02

 

Had my Evo parked next to an RX7 in a dark corner of a parking lot. Only my Evo got egged. Haters gone hate the Evo superiority.

 

Someone broke my rear driver's side window out and stole the fronts seats out. insurance cut me a check for 8k I couldn't belive it

 

That's not vandalism that's thievery.

 

YesI do think the Evo is a target for asshats. Somebody kicked in my passenger front door a few weeks ago for no reason. No, it was not damage from a theft. I can tell you that **** like this never happened with any of my other cars. Two grand worth of damage for somebody to get their jollies.
