CBRD Speedfactory & Ball Bearings
With the spool numbers on the BBK-B BB (3B whatever) matching the BBK-Full with a 50 whp gain up top... I think a lot of guys are going to make the switch to the larger ball bearing turbo. I may wait until I build my motor, but no question I'll upgrade if there is some kind of core exchange/upgrade policy for the BBK-Full owners.
Here is another BBK-3B (as its been dubbed- the B ball bearing)- with standard cover-
Mods are:
CBRD BBK-3B
Perrin intake
PTE1000cc
3 port EBCS
CBRD TUNE
CBRD/JMF manifold
tback, invidia o2 housing
headgames head- stock sized valves- S2 cams
93 octane
stock IM/tbody
CBRD FMIC

This is an 06 IX MR- in 3rd gear- not 4th (which picks up about 450-500 rpm worth of spool)
25.5 psi achieved by apprx 4000rpm-
flat boost with stock actuator- (we do have an upgraded actuator)

^^^Looking good! I expected more tq but I still me gusta! I wonder what the gains would be with an aftermarket IM/TB, especially with the Headgames head on the car....ummm...
for the most part its a high rpm- stock block setup- S2's, tubular manifold, etc- we would see a slight pickup in torque with an S1 style cam and stock ported manifold- but maybe at the expense of peak power-
this car has been sitting for awhile with the same fuel in it- and was knocking a bit (2-3 counts) up top before i richened it up (as you can see on the graph) with fresh fuel I think it would pick up another 8-10whp-
we dont typically ever see more than 350wtq on our dyno on any stock block pump gas 2 liter-- the other guys bigger turbo usually makes 300ish wtq
