people, the service department at a Mitsu dealership or ANY dealership for that matter is a very LIABLE portion of the facility.
Every warranty request for a wear and tear item, is ALWAYS scrutinized by the service manager and perhaps the district service manager..
These are WEAR and TEAR items that, yeah, shouldn't go out at 5,000 miles but can depending on USE. Notice how these clutches aren't going out like a light at 5,000 miles or at some EXACT mileage..
Why? Because they are mechanical items and will wear at their own pace and our considered WEAR and TEAR to boot...
I agree with Mitsu need to back these cars, but sheez, they ARE performance cars that are hammered, so the service departments across the nations are walking fine lines on what they can and can't do..
Be nice, ask politely, don't lie to them or yourself about track use or strip use and what do you have to worry about?
