I had no problem removing the bungs, used one for oil pressure, the other for oil temperature - no torch required. Make sure you have the correct size allen wrench.

The only way I know to get it out if the allen head is stripped is to drill it and reverse tap it, or use an ez-out. Not something I would do except as a last resort since you may get metal shavings in the oil system.

I also had zero problems just using the correct size tool, some PB Blaster, and a little common sense. The only locktite that requires heat to be removed is the red.

And, as long as the access was there, an impact gun with short bursts would be the preferred way to do this.

I got my propane torch from homedepot. Like $20 - $30

Comes in handy In most applications. Especially older bolts.

Thanks guys. Thinking I'll just go with the AMS line and hope it fits on the other bung and doesn't hit anything. Should be ok I hope.

What is the benefit of doing this compared to getting one of the sandwich adaptors?

Could someone post a picture of the bungs? Are there near where the oil filter screws on?
