Timing belt part numbers evo9 block evo8 head
Short history, I bought the car from a reputable shop (will withhold the name so I don't break any rules). They picked it up with a blown motor, so they took a good evo 9 short block and rebuilt the evo 8 head, plugged the MIVEC oil holes in the block and the car is running.
Now, I have some money and I want to do a timing belt job. I want to make sure I have the correct parts for this evo8/9 frankenstein motor before I go ordering them. This is what I have on my list of parts to replace:
Timing belt: MD326059
Water pump kit: MIT-1300A065
Balance tensioner pulley: MD352473
Timing belt tensioner adjuster: MR984375
Timing belt tensioner pulley: MD369999
Timing belt idler pulley: MD156604
Balance shaft belt: MR984778
Can someone please confirm these are the correct parts and numbers before I order them? I know there is some difference between the evo 8 and evo 9 timing belt kits, so I want to make sure I have exactly what I need.
Thanks!

After some more research it looks like only two parts have different numbers for the evo 8 and evo 9 models: the timing belt and the water pump.
From what I understand, they moved the location of one of the bolt holes in the evo 9 block, so I will need to get the 9 water pump (PN: 1300A067).
Now for the timing belt, I still need some confirmation. I read a post that says they are the exact same, just different part numbers. I can see this being true since it is essentially the same motor. Plus, aftermarket belts are the same for both the 8 and 9...so I guess they are the same length...right?

They revised the water pump with the evo 9 to include a titty as an additional anchor point for the alternator to intake manifold bracket. Use the corresponding bracket and water pump. Timing belt is the same.

Thanks man. I'm going to order the 9 water pump, but the 8 belt. The reason for the 8 belt is because it is cheaper than the 9 belt (not by much though), and is the same part.

For informational purposes, here is a quote from one of the guys at the shop that sold me this car...
DSM/EVO 8/9 Timing belts are the same. Evo VIII/IX also use the same pulleys, tensioner, etc. The water pump difference has to do with the alternator bracket mount. You need an Evo VIII waterpump. Evo VIII and IX blocks are the same except for the oil feed for the MIVEC in the back of the block.
