Vishnu performance?

SO I was tinkering in my evo today, since its parked because of a bad tc. The blower motor is making noises so I pulled off the glovebox and see a vishnu perfomance xede. I assumed it was a piggyback and started researching. Is this company even doing anything anymore and how the hell do I use it etc? I am at a loss for knowing whats going on here and if this thing is even supported. Thanks for helping a noob!

Remove, and use as a paper weight. Was used a lot before ecuflash came about.

You don't need to remove ASAP. Wait until t case is back in then find a tuner to remove and retune. Betting it's set for what's in your car now so just hold on till then.
I'm thinking the closest would be English racing

Most shops tune ecu flash then? I want something user friendly that I can eventually use as I want to learn to tune. Something with user loadable maps and map switching that type of thing. Also wouldnt it be better to use a standalone ecu? Doesn't the stock one have a finite number of flashes and then it's a rock?

Zero need for a standalone in your case. No # of flashes, you could have someone flash you all day. Wait, not sure if that sounds right..

Anyway, ECUFlash is free. What you'd need to buy is ECUScan, and a cable.

gotcha. How much does tuning cost generally? Or could I just download a map for that program with my mods in mind that someone else has?

no get a custom map..every car is different a tune from my place of preference cost 200 an hour...with first time tunes usually being close to 2 hours and touch ups being 1 hour or less.

similar map's from other people with the same mods should only serve as base maps or emergency maps.
