Thrust bearing crank pulley side gone?
Hello everyone!, well to make it short here is the issue, I (me)install an ACT clutch kit with ACT flywheel, last year. Today I notice a metal to metal noise coming from the oil pump, so when I took the timing cover out and turn the engine with the ratchet, the metal plate for the crank sensor was hitting the sensor. This was weird so I grab the side of the crank and pull it back and forward and there was mayor end-play. I remove the oil pan, oil pump, and lower main bearings cap set, well the thrust bearing it was as thin as a paper in the timing belt side (not clutch) and the crankshaft have a groove big enough to know that is done, zip, to the trash. Any input on this matter or if someone have this problem before? thanks in advance.
