What would you do?

Hello guys!! I have a question for you!

This year I don´t and I can´t invest a lot of money in my car. So I would like to know what do you do in my case.

I´ll made a new tune in my car, but I want to put some new parts and I can´t decided what kind of mods to do and What is the best way for my investment.

What would you do?

Option 1: Speed Density+tune: $600?
Option 2: Ported Rev2 MAP intake manifold + tune: $600.
I can´t invest more than $600-$700 right now.

Or can you suggest something??

Mod list in my sign...

I´ll apreciate your help!! Thanx!

I would do intake manifold + tune and remove the honeycomb from your MAF.

You could also consider having Curt Brown port your intake manifold. He does a stellar job and charges $150-$200 I think.

Maybe Curt Brown ported intake manifold ($150-200), Mil.SPEC 65MM ported TB ($295), Tune from TSCOMPUSA ($200),

Scott

Thanx for your answer!
I don´t know Curt Bronw. I need a core because I´m not from USA, so I need buy a stock intake manifold ($100) and send to port.

When you say, "remove the honeycomb from you maf", how can I do that??

If you remove your MAF sensor, you can just pull it right out. It's the entire honeycomb looking piece. With big power its possible for it to get sucked in. I removed mine before we tuned my car and it runs PERFECT. Nice and smooth with excellent response. (TSCOMPUSA tuned my car).

Here's Curt and here's an IM he ported (it's sold, but just for reference).

It might affect the tune a little, i'm not 100% sure. I did mine before we tuned. I would probably just wait.

I can get you a pic of my maf this weekend

How does option one cost as much as option 2? Tephra V7 with SD uses the fuel temp sensor, so its free. The other method of using an AIT and SpoolinUp harness is less than $100.

if you use Speed density, you need tune the car. A tune with SD cost $150 more I think. I saw the prices of speed density package ($160) +A IT sensors + omniPower, is alot of money. Tune: $350 tuning SD.

Most people remove them before making huge power, but it could be, yes.
