The vishnu stuff is high end stuff, I would say some of the best you can get. It depends on what you want to spend and what you want to do. I did the vishnu stuff because the support is great and the parts are ALL very nice, check out there dumback exhaust it's super nice and costs about a grand.

Why limit yourself to only Vishnu and Buschur? There are many other vendors offering 'staged' upgrades, Boost-Solutions, RnR, RMR, Ultimate-Racing, Vivid Racing. And there are many quality parts to be found that aren't in 'stage upgrades'. I have parts from many different companies. HKS, Greddy, B&B, Ultimate-Racing, Perrin Performance. There is so much out there that is just as good as Vishnu or Buschur and dare I say it.....maybe better???
all i'm saying is explore all the possibilities before you make up your mind.

I would look at AMS, http://www.automotosports.com/ and Works, http://www.worksrally.com/. They both get good reviews on here as well. Bottom line, if you stick with someone reputable that is close to you, you should be fine.

I agree--shiv's comments & actions have really swayed me from ever wanting to align with Vishnu. Again, MY opinion.

Burshur has an excellent history and great customer service. They are an extremely competent EVO/DSM shop.

Also, I agree with others that a "best of breed" approach may be better than putting all your eggs in one basket. Lots of great vendors support this site.

One last thought, don't rush in--plenty of time to tune your baby. Relax and research & you'll find the right mix of parts.

Congrats on the EVO!

Do a search, best way to form your own opinion, their products have been discussed many times and both have their merits.. (I use buschur products, but Vishnu's stuff is also top rate)

I say go with Buschur racing's exhaust 3" downpipe, turbo-back exhaust with their muffler (JDM or reg.). It has great sound and has made my Evo have quicker resonse, less turbo lag, louder spoil up turbo sound, and feels alot faster. Most powerful dyno. Loud but not too loud. Idling and cruising its quiet, but when you haul tail you can hear it pretty well. I recommend some type of funnel air filter kit also. It doesnt matter what brand really they are all built about the same (filter at least). This produces sound and helps out on turbo lag also. Vishnu is good too, but considering I paid around 7 hundred or so (Christmas deal) for what I listed, thats a good deal.

I have seen buschur make a few comments as well.

(Actually pretty civil up to this point. Funny topic name though considering recent history)

That's a tough one since Buschur has not officially released any info on an Evo package with a new turbo, and Shiv has only shown off a stage 2 that was .. well, in beta form.

Then there is the issue of dynos. Shiv constantly reiterates that his dyno will display less spectacular numbers, but is supposed to be more accurate.

Taking those factors into account, I would resoundingly state: it's hard to tell without putting both of their cars on the same dyno.

You could state that Shiv has shown off his stage 2 which was at about 400whp, but that kit is not yet ready for prime time, so in theory he has created a staged kit with more power.

FWIW, just about all our Stage 1 cars have made 310-320whp on AWD Dynojets. This is running on 93 octane with catalytic converters. Expect another 15-20whp with a test pipe. What this translates to on a 2wd Dynojet is unknown to me.

BTW, it's a bit tricky comparing different stage offerings due to the variances in cars, testing conditions, repeatibility requirements, dyno calibrations, etc,. These variables can easy cloud whatever perceived or actual differences there are between two reasonably similiar performing set-ups.

Regards,
Shiv

PS. BTW Jansolo, Stage 2 is making over 100whp more since its introduction in beta form a couple months ago. Should be somewhere over 500whp on an AWD Dynojet.

Buschur parts are like the Craftsman wrench set you have, good, solid, been around for years making tools, bordering minimalist in design. Vishnu parts are like that wrench set your rich friend showed you in the latest Sharper Image catalog, chrome coated, shiny, a bit over done for it's intended use and made by a company famous for nail files and clippers.

You pick, your money, though one route will get you farther.
