Nah, no codes. Guess boost leak test is the next step before coils?

Gap them across the board at .024 and try that out. Coils are like an on/off switch. Either they work or they do not work. Coils generally do not go bad.

They are gapped how they came, at around .020-.021 (around where my older plugs were)

I feel like it's not a gap issue.

I've had coils get hot and give intermittent no-spark issues.

Did you verify the gap? Sometimes they're not correct out of the box.

Do you have any way to log? That will help pinpoint things. Also, do a boost leak test like the other guys have said.

87 pump is literally dirt water.. If you are sputtering only at WOT (high fuel demand) there is a good chance that you have some fouling, or debris in your injectors. You are fine at low demand fuel cause its dribbling by but at high demand its somewhat clogged.

Pull them and see what you got...

Alright here is some more news. Me and my friend found a vacuum line hanging loose in the left side, behind the intake mani. We put it back and the car is running a lot better now. The sputter is virtually gone, however, no completely. NOW, when I hit WOT, it will hesitate/sputter once for a fraction of a second and then go on pulling as normal. Sometimes it doesn't do it at all. This is compared to it sounding like a machine gun before fixing the vacuum line.

Now it's obvious there still is some sort of issue. What should be the next step?

Bump.

The sputtering is still happening, pretty much just as bad as before. If I datalog a pull, could someone possibly tell what is going on from the log? Any insight would be appreciated...trying to not have to shell out money that I don't have, at the dealer or whatever.

Having a log wouldn't hurt. Log timing, tps, rpm, AFR (if available), IPW, boost (if available) and load

check your plugs. they should be gapped .024 or tighter

out of the box you CAN NOT COUNT ON them being gapped properly

start simple. work your way backwards.

have you run thru with 93 like others mention? it could be that it's still have some of the 87 in there. turbo cars are sensitive to any changes..

No I didn't. I actually forgot all about trying that out.

what kind of plugs did you buy? hope you didnt mess up the electrode when you gapped it. those can happen easily, a tank of 87 doesnt ruin a car. i just put in my sparks and my car was hesitating and almost on the verge of sputtering, i checked my gap and they got loose, i would gap em smaller to .20 and try that.
