Angry Optima Yellow Top

OK, so I just went out and bought an Optima Yellow top Battery for my EVO. The NEON and system were killing the old one. I PROMPTY HAD TO RETURN THE BATTERY, I COULD NOT MAKE THE CABLES REACH! Has anyone installed one in an EVO and if so please post or send me some pictures. I don't want to lengthen the cables. HELP!

Battery Development

Well obviously no one elce has been able to put this batt in either. I spoke with Optima and the good news I got was that they have a reverse post yellow top in development. The bad news is we will have to wait 6 months or more.

i just finished putting the optima red top from my 67 camaro in to my evo. it fits the tray perfect. the negative cable fits but my positive cable was a few inches short. it might have fit if i pulled a few of the plastic clips holding the harness but its not worth it.

I had actually forgot about this post. Since the last time I have replaces my batt with a yellow top. Positive cable worked with some minor alterations. Replaced the nagative with new cable from the ground stud behind batt. I do love this batt, when I am at shows the electronics can be on for hours and the thing never drains. Worth the money and the time to get in.
