See these on eBay for 300. Thinking of using replica full race manifold and dp.

Have an HX40 on my gsx and love it. Have to wait for the the boost but the smile it puts on your face when it pulls is always worth the wait. I have the .55ar on my car. Spools a little faster than the T3 but youll definitely see better gains up top with the T3.

There are a few different style of hx-40's. 56mm and a 60mm compressor. There are also billet versions available and also bullseye also has their new billet batmowheel that can be put onto the 60mm sizes. I had an hx-35 on my car like 3 years ago it was fun but it didnt last i eventually found out you really need to some thinking and work on the drain side of the turbo for it to last on our cars. every one says you need like a 3/4 in drain i believe. i will give you a couple post on dsmtuners about holsets so better start reading.

I would go with the 6 or 7 blade 60mm HX40 and run the BEP .70a/r t3 exhaust housing (has 3" v-band outlet). I personally run the 7-blade one. You can find them with billet wheels as well.

What is the best wheel to go with on the hx 40? 7 blade or 8?

7 blade. Not sure if they make it in billet but 7 blade billet would be even better. The batmowheel outflows them all thou.

that holset is probably going to need a rebuild, and they run from $250-600. and after buying a new bullseye hotside $215. your at $765 + shipping.

why not just get a precision 6262 for $900 and be done with it? you'll have the same spool with another 50-100hp up top. a newer more efficient design for only a few hundred more.
