0_o wow that really sucks. Curious timing too because just yesterday I snapped a bolt holding the t-case's inspection plate and had to have it extracted at a shop. I imagine you should be able to do the same in your case?

Ouch, try beating a socket on it if you can. Or your going to have to have to drill out the stud and replace the stud.

i seen somewhere online where their was this special "nut" that bites into a broken nut like that.
also getting some pb blaster ans praying it in their then using a some nut that fits over it to jar it loose. i did that to one of my bolts that was stuck holding my intake mani to my head..

or you can grind the broken nut enough to where the broken part will snap off and not damage the bolt

the best way i know and what some shops do is hammer a socket on it and impact it out. u have to get one that DOESNT fit it, ie a smaller one and hammer it on. socket will be destroyed most of the time.

oh man, just re-looked at the pic, theres barely anything for the socket to grab on.

Prob the safest thing to do is cut the back side of the stud off the hub. I had to do this in my talon once. It will save the rim but you will need to replace the stud think about what is cheaper.

Take all the rest of the lugs off first. Get it to that one is left and then you have to wack it with a hammer to see if you can break it off the hub in the back. Once it is free just use a matabo or something to cut the back of the stud off and it should come free from the hub. I will say this though BE PATIENT! I know it sucks and I really feel bad for you. It should work you just have to try to be gentle enough with it to not mess anything up. Another thing too is someone suggested tring to get a socket on there and get the rest of it out. I would try that first to see if it will come out. Hopefully you didn't crossthread it on there, but if so you may have to use some force to get it off. Good luck my man.

Edit: I just saw how you broke it. Yes your gonna have to just try to beat it loose now.

I've had to change a wheel stud on the evo; rotating the wheel so that the dust shield isn't in the way should give you enough room. Might want to remove the caliper to have more room to work.
