$750 to install cams and valve springs!?

Heh... cams don't take more than an hour or two to do if you know what you're doing... valve springs are the tricky part, also very time consuming.
Taking the cams out are part of the valve spring install and should be included in the price... you have to take the cams out to do the valve springs anyways. I'd say pay $350 MAX for the whole job...

Obviously the region you live in is going to have a huge effect on pricing. I don't think people in Socal would do it for 200 unless they're super desperate. Depending on the shop, I would say 75-85/hr is the going shop rate. Therefore around 550 is where I would feel comfortable that someone would take their time and do it correctly
I've done the same job more times then I can remember.Id say $600 or so is a decent price.i usually don't charge anything since it's mostly for friends and family.gotta love people putting prices on other peoples labor when they can't do the job themselfs.This isn't a job for average evo owner that changes their own oil and bolts on ic piping.Tools
