Boost Gauge Install

Getting ready to install a boost gauge. Followed an article from another site which has the line going through the fire wall on passenger side into behind the glove compartment. From there, it is routed to the driver side behind the stock MR gauges/center console. Question is, what is the best way from there to get the lines to the "A" Pillar?

Under the dash across the drivers side and up behind the a pillar. If you pull the a pillar off, you will see where you can route the wire.

My gauge quit working. But it's still connected... Could it be a short?
