Damn man. I cant give you any advice as I have never been into a situation like that.

Good luck on getting it all sorted out. I wouldnt want to have the car anymore either, although, i am pretty sure the insurance will total it.

Move on and get a X like you said! As long as he has good insurance and the police report states its his fault, im sure it will work out.

contact your insurance company. Give them all the details, including his insurance info. If you have a citation number, provide that as well. The very first step is call your insurance company and they'll tell you how best to proceed. They open a case file for you, tell you when to expect hearing from them, and what the next step is. I know its frustrating now, but it'll get sorted out. Good luck, and I'm sorry to hear about your car, man. After I got in an accident I was feeling like I didn't want the car any more either. Hold off on passing any judgement until after an estimate of the damage has been done.

uh, if its his fault, HIS INSURANCE will be footing the bill, you shouldn't have to do anything with your insurance if it was his fault, he's the one he needs to be making calls to his insurance, damn that sucks, yea it will probably be totaled, frame or unibody or whatever its called is probably out of alignment, i wouldn't even bother with any shop trying to repair it, the quality of work nowadays with body shops is not so good it seems lately, but gl in whatver you do, the main thing is your werent hurt, cars can be replaced, people cant

Give your insurance a call and provide them with the 411. They'll get in contact with his insurance company and it will all be hashed out that way. It then becomes a waiting game to find out what the next move is.

Looks like it was your fault in you infact were pulling out of Wells Fargo. If it was your fault contact yours, if his fault then contact his. Looks like there is a high possibility of frame damage, which would result in a total. You could buy it back in the end and part it out since it looks like everything else is fine, or just get an Evo X like you said. Either way it sucks to see another evo down.

I'm not trying to assign "fault" in my advice. No need to come across like the advice I gave was stupid. It's what he should do. I'm not sure if you have been in any accidents, but I can tell you I have - several, and not all were my fault. Fault or no, you start by contacting your insurance company. They in turn contact the other persons insurance company. They then discuss fault, and who's to pay for what. Your insurance claims adjuster then calls or schedules to have a recorded testimony of the events as you believe they occured. Then they send you to a shop of their selection for evaluation and repairs. The pictures don't make it look all that great, but it could just be some bent arms and some cosmetic damage that wouldn't have tweaked the frame. I know because I've been in a similar accident with a previous car. *NEVER* simply call their insurance company. They'll try to get you to admit fault during a recorded call and use it against you. I know because this happened to an ex-girlfriend. I'm not here to say who's responsible or whose insurance company should be fitting the bill. Thats not up to me. I'm just trying to tell him what he should based upon my own experience.

Your advice is also dead wrong. I've been in accidents that weren't my fault. When I've tried to work with their insurance directly, they give me the runaround. Sadly, because you are not their customer, they don't care. It's sad, but true. In *any* case, start by notifying your insurance company of an accident. If in doubt, check your own insurance company's website for their advice on what to do. They will in turn work with the other persons insurance company. Let the insurance companies duke it out. No need to contact theirs. The other party will have contacted their own insurance company, and their insurance reps will contact his otherwise. As far as blame, the OP never once stated it wasn't his fault, and thankfully it sounds like everyone is ok.

i hope you called the police and they will sort it out who was at fault. you can contact your insurance company and "they" will be the one contacting the other guys company. it looks like it is fixable. driver side rear door and some suspension bits + rear bumper.
