So i bought a evo 9 mr a year ago. Interior looks great. mechanically it was great. but....my bumper has a gap under the tail lights. i bought it and i noticed it had been in a accident in the back right corner. The guy who owned it before me must have took it to the worst body shop ever. they painted the quarter panel + trunk + bumper. Clear coats failing and its starting to look like crap! Also the bumper alignment is terrible.

Now my question is could it be put back to normal. atleast have the rear end looking right?

If someone has dealt with similar how much did it cost you to get it aligned up nicely. Im in SoCal so if your in the area do you know of any shops that do a awesome job at a good price?

i plan on going JDM bumper. Should i wait till then to have it aligned up?

i also plan on repainting from quarter panel back (expt bumper since its painted)

 

I have the same problem. With the gap between the tail lights and the bumper. I took it to the body shop, and they fixed it as best the could without doing major things. It was expensive but it would have taken a few days to acouple weeks. And my car is my DD so I just said fix it the best.
