Kracka Crankcase Vacuum Kit; Can someone school me?

http://www.maperformance.com/kracka-...acuum-kit.html

I read that this is a decent upgrade for the money, but i am not sure how it works and do i need if i have a light bolt-on setup, i.e 285whp? Also is this different from stuff like this http://www.saikoumichi.com/micro_bre..._can_tank.htm?

Seems to me like releasing valve cover pressure and crank case vacuum are two different things.

I did some searching but could not find many descriptions of this product.

Thanks!

I have it installed and noticed no difference compared to prior to installation.

I had them, but even after they were installed correctly, my dipstick still popped out, covering parts of my engine bay in oil. For whatever reason I still have/had crankcase pressure issues, so I'm going with STM's catch can and probably venting the block and the dipstick tube.

I have the kit installed but I have a 2nd pcv valve in line for the connection between manifold and valve cover. Mainly because neither the kit's valve, nor the valve I bought sealed very well on their own but both together sealed good.

It was more of an OCD purchase for me. I have a SM dual catch can setup and didn't like how much air/pressure the catch can in between the intake and valve cover experienced.

I have the same one. It helped a lot! My PCV valve was useless and a new PCV was just as useless. I placed mine between the IM and the PCV valve. Make sure you can get vacuum and it closes under boost. If doing it with a catch can read up on it. You don't want to pressurize the can.

I eliminated my pcv valve with the STM -6 an fittings for the valve cover and also installed the -6 an vented dipstick and -6an fitting for the balance shaft inspection hole and made a custom catch can with 4 inlets motor breaths fine I can gaurs tee you your dipstick won't ever pop out!

^ x2. Great way to prevent your catch cans from exploding lol I run these suckers all the time. They have a nice low "cracking" <2psi and are very durable/ chemical resistant.
