Vr1 and brad Penn 20w-50 are very close the same thing. I use brad Penn 20w-50 if I had to I would switch to vr1 or mobil 1

yeah I bought into the hype over 10 years ago in my Honda. I used to run ENEOS all the time. Now I run Amsoil (The new ZDDP formulated one).

I've heard some guys are starting to run diesel oil......is that true.

For the price of Royal Purple and Eneos, you would expect them to perform really well if not better but every result I see it validates my point even more that they SUCK. Yes some people do run diesel oil here on the forums.

Not starting have been for a long time - the diesel oils usually have more additives like Zinc and Phosphorus. Example would be Shell Rotella T which I'm sure people on this board use, I know tons of Suby guys use it too.

BTW - I voted for Amsoil (which can be shipped for those who don't have it locally)

I also use ELF/Total 10W-50 (Company name change), good oil and able to get it cheap (in Aust). I'm not too sure what to switch to if I had to, I'd get advice from the local EVO specialist.

Hmmmmm diesel oil eh? I know I could do a search but what kinds of diesel oil if you don't mind sharin. Shell Rotella T. I will look into that also. Is it a standard weight like 10W-30 or something more in the 20W-50 range?

AMSoil is the only thing i run in all my cars. price of oil doesnt bother me, but price of a new engine does.

I hope you are not suggesting that not running amsoil in your car is doing it a diss-service or your engine life span will be decreased using another oil.

If so you have bought into the hype they base their business model around.

amsoil great stuff with many options sure

refined by the hand of god and your car will suffer from not using it ehhhh not so much
