Good deal that it's a cheap fix.

I've got the service manual and can't seem to locate the test procedure for the crank position or cam angle sensors. Anybody have this information?

Sorry to bring back an old thread. My #8 fuse was burnt last night. The problem is that when I replace it with a new one, it gets fried again as I try to start the car. Am I starting the car up wrong? Any ideas?

Thanks.

There is no technique in starting the car, it sounds like you have exposed wires somewhere or moisture near some wires. Did you work around any wires lately? any exposed wires under the seat? in dash radio job lately?

Yes, you have a dead short in that circuit.
One of my friends did his spark plugs once and dropped the coil pack bolt. he couldn't find it. About 3 months later we found it popping the fuse because it was resting next to the starter wire.
