I took my AC out in about 15 min with no motor or radiator in the car. You need to remove the radiator to get to the condensor bolts. Other than that it's fairly simple.

Took me about 45 mins. But I have a custom undertray that takes about 2 seconds to remove. If you have a stock undertray then you should double that time. Don't forget you will need to go to a shop to get the refrigerant out first. GL.

Actually you don't need to take out the radiator out. You need to take out the fan and then you simply unbolt the radiator brackets and tilt it towards the engine. You can get to the bolts pretty easily with a box wrench.

A lift will not really help you much.

It is easy to put the belt back on.

You will also need a shorter belt.

I'm also in So Cal and have had the Ac removed out of my car years ago. Boy do I regret that. Since, I have not removed it from any of my vehicles. Its nice to come into a fresh and cooler car with the random hot days we have here in Cali. If your looking for performance gains, not much will be gained. I would just spend time and effort in another department. But if your dead set on removing it, do it

Do you really even gain that much just deleting that belt? I've always opted to keep a/c unless it's a dedicated go on trailer track car though I for one always love a fast car on the highway DRIVING home from the track.

I'm deleting mine because of my exhaust routing.

I weighed in the whole a/c- the compressor, brackets, lines, bolts, and condensor. The system isnt really that heavy, I think it totaled about 23 lbs or so. I track my car and I would say that I do notice a lighter front end when trying to turn at track speeds.

my ac is going on the chopping block hopefully this next weekend, I live in Alaska so I never really use it anyway. Evo is going in to the dealership to have a trunk leak looked at and I figured I'd have them empty the freon then.

If you live there where its always cold then ac delete is for sure the best way to go, plus if you are going forward face turbo setup

Here in Texas its hot during the summers and I plan on getting my ac reinstalled, but during the winter its really comfortable
