Question OEM Lugnut HEAD size?

Chaps...

Sorry, trying to pick up the right socket head on my way home from work. Anyone happen to know the CORRECT size of the stock OEM lug nuts?

I need the head size so I know which sized socket to get.

I believe 13/16ths is what I was using... but that may not be correct? Perhaps 20mm?

Let me know!

Incorrect. I'm home now and checked.

13/16ths fits perfectly. It converts to 20.6mm, so 20 is too small, and 21mm is bigger than 13/16ths, so I'm sticking with standard.

Thats fine but that doesnt mean its better. Mitsubishi doesnt use sae size bolts. They are metric and if you use a metric size tool you will be just fine.

21mm is actually the standard since these cars are based on the metric system. 13/16" fits very snug, maybe even too snug that sometimes, the lug will get stuck in the socket. 21mm gives a little room, like a lot of sockets out there.

you will find that almost all cars use either a 19mm or a 21mm even on American cars. Most manufacturers have switched to metric fasteners on their late model cars ...if you want to use your SAE, then don't get upset if you get it wedged on.
