I have installed my wideband today, on idle its showing 15.5-16.5 and when i drive its at about 14.3-15.2. Is this running rich? Or is that normal ?

No tune?

That's a bit lean at idle. 14's to mid 15's what you want at idle. Cruising seems about right. What do you hit under WOT? That's really the most important thing.

Before my tune, I was hitting 10ish under WOT. Way to rich. Now I'm around 11.5-12ish under WOT, no knock counts. My mod list looks similar to yours.

500evo - did you check to see if you blew off a hose? Common areas are the licp connector, and the throttle body connector. I was blowing that one off constantly, until I put bolt clamps on.

Slowonder - did you do the open air calibration? Evos run pig rich from the factory, especially under wot, and with mods it just gets worse. You need to get a tune done. Afrs will be much better after that, more power, better mpg under wot, and the car will pull harder and smoother thru the gears.

The car stoped on me in the middle of the road, I turned it on and drove it home I also drove it over 20mph, When i came to a stop it just turned off, so the car runs when it is moving.

cars never got good gas mileage. only thing it came with was an exhaust. my 1.8t jetta was 35+mph my wrx was 27+mpg and this thing is VERY consistant on 20.7mpg lol. doesnt matter how much i beat on it or dont beat on it. the mods havent changed it at all. even removed my rear wing to see if that would do anything since i drive alot of highway but noda. i just figured i may have a leak with the low a/f readings while cruising. yes i did the install and cal by the book.

if you were researching cars for great gas mileage and you bought an evo you didnt do your homework good enough. i seriously get tired of hearing complaints about gas mileage in these cars when you should know performance and economy are two completely different things when buying a car. 4 doors doesnt necessarily=great gas mileage.

i understand that. the mileage doesnt bother me. just threw me a curve ball when the po said he was getting 25mpg most of the time. cant say performance and mpg doesnt fit when most the srt-4's with over 500whp around here are seeing over 30mpg or my buddys c5 corvette gets better mileage than me or the other vw's ive seen get over 30 too. i understand these dont get good gas mileage thats not why i bought the car. i just find it weird how SPOT on it is every tank no matter how i beat on it. if i wanted mpg i would of just built the hell outa my vw.
