vibrating question?
New to the forum just wanted to know if any one has the same problem as my 03 evo, on the freway there is a vibration inside the whole cabin when i shift to 5th gear at 55mph it starts until 65mph it kinda goes away, its like its not in the right gear yet i dont know if thats normal this is my first evo and mitsubishi also what should i do any help is apreciated.
it only happens in 5th gear, i havent checkt my spark plugs how do i check my suspension ill post rpms later when i get of work tires are 50% thread all gears are good exept 5th when i hit 70 it goes away kinda havent passed that speed, thanks guy i feel realy welcome here coming from the jaguar forums
Some say rebuilding the tranny with new bearings is the fix. My car started doing this just after I replaced the OEM tires. So, that would be in the low teens. I now am pushing 80K. Other than the vibration, my tranny is still good.

If it's not speed related and it doesn't vibrate at that speed in a lower gear I have to say it's your trans. 4th gear will take you to well over 100 MPH so don't be afraid to try get it up to 70.
so in 4th gear at 55mph its at 3500rpm i got to 70mph in fourth gear and then shifted to fith gear i could verly hear or feal the vibration, so every one says its the tranny so i should take it to a tranny shop there is an aamco shop here in town but there is no mitsubishi dealer here in reno, nv thanks for all the replies.
My car used to vibrate at higher speeds then I got Spoolinup cop and new tires and the problem was fixed. Not sure which one fixed the virating since they were both installed at the same time but my guess would be the tires.
