Fp black on stock block set up

ok guys let me know your opinions, personal stories, and examples.....

I have an fp black on my stock block, along with : gsc s2 cams, springs and retainers, full blown double pumper, porter stock manifold, muse o2 dump full 3 inch exhaust, 1200cc injectors, aftermarket intercooler and full intercooler piping, tial bov, head studs

I am currently on a conservative tune making a mild 455 awhp.I want to retune and make between 515-550 awhp. what do you guys think??
is this a recipe for disaster??? or will the car hold the power???
i dont race the car. every once in a blue moon ill get on it, but i am not one to run it hard every day, usually cruz between 2.5-3.5k rpm.

let me know guys

head studs?
how much boost you running?
is it your only car, how soon do you want to do the lower end?

Personally I wouldn't risk it. windows in blocks are not as fun as how cool they are to look at over the forums. I have a built block and Im not really looking to push much more than you are.

If you have the money and patience build it, if u aren't worried about losing the block and whatever else it tears up if something lets go then push it. I was thinking about running my new set up (precision 6262) on my stock block for the summer, but I've decided to just do it right and build it, that way we can push it. No one wants to have to keep the tune conservative when there's much more power to be made.

Worry about the torque not the horsepower, as long as it is under 400tq I would go for it.

I have fp black on stock block gsc s2 and all other basic bolt one's, been running it for about 5k miles with no issues. As long as you keep the TQ low you will be fine, but to get the full effect of the black I'd say build the block in your off time which is what I am gonna do. But with the driving you do I'd say you will be fine. Good luck!

I would think a fp black making over 500whp would be above the 400wtrq mark and unless, like said before, you want windows in your block. I would wait until you can built the bottom end to handle the trq. imho

I made 472 and 419 tork on my evo 9 with 93 octane. But just like evo8426 said watch the tork! I think mine is living on the edge but it has lasted for awhile now. So Im crossing my fingers!

Like has already been said, torque is what you need to be aware of and as long as peak torque is made at the 5,000 RPM mark and beyond, it seems to have a better lasting effect on the stock bottom end. That being said, all engines are not made the same and I have seen rods break at under the 400wtq mark and then there are some engines that can make over 450wtq without any issue. At the end of the day, you have to do things right the first time.
