Hey guys i know this may not be the place to post this but i figured someone may know a little more about these cars. One of my friends just bought one and isn't familiar with turbo cars. We were trying to figure out how the car would run etc etc. I haven't raced him but i was trying to compare it to my car. i went 11.7 @ 121.

The 240 has a built ka24det motor, eagle rods 8:5 compression. gt35r turbo. ported and polished head, obvious full bolt ons, 880cc's with 255 pump. What kind of power should that put down on 93? or how should it run compared to me? I figured it should pull me pretty hard just by the sound of the mods and weight of the car. I would find out but he is putting a shifter and some other small things into it since he just recieved it. Thanks for any input.

 

That'll be a toque b1tch for sure. The K24 is basically a truck motor but it'll move built for sure.

A GT35R can and has hit 500WHP Pump gas, you can expect the same depending on cams and a LOT more torque.

 

Im not sure if it has been set up well. Im looking at it saturday night. but he acts like it has stock cams, and stock intake which makes zero since for the modding thats been done. and he also claims its 12.1 afr at 14 psi peak boost ???? wtf lol

 

12s depending on boost in my opinion

my friend had that motor but it was stock with no turbo. his car ran 15s stock.. he didnt like it for drag though, he was the sideways type of guy.

 

12's really? I figured it would move out considering the weight and power of gt35r i was guessing it would be a low 11 sec car for sure

thats what i told him and 14psi seems low for a built motor. IDK he was claiming the guy said like 450whp at that boost i was like idk man. I was just trying to get some feedback i would personally love to race the car and see how ole Evo stacks up but it may be a couple weeks. Mainly i just want to be faster :P but i was also just looking for some input on the cars just because we are gonna go over it this weekend.

 

damn lol looks like it would be more like a 12 sec car then based on that vid. Wow. i figured it had no choice but to run amazing lol. Maybe high 11's with slicks and good driving. I really appreciate all the quick feedback

 

No prob! i had to do reseach on my frinds 240 too because he was talking about when he turbos his ka24 he was going to rape my civic. lol come to find out it wasnt worth putting in the money to build that enging but to swap it with an Sr20det. Gook luck bro. Hope it breaks 11s!

it all depends on the car. if its an s13 then its gonna be 200lbs lighter then the s14 seen in the vid. also i have seen 240sx's run mid 11's with 400rwhp so dont believe everything you read. with those small injectors id assume hes running in the low 400-430rwhp range. if he upgrades his fuel pump and injectors then he should be able to hit about 500 to the wheels. there are some fast ka24's running around and those 240's are light as hell.
