How important is the bracket for the intake manifold
I have a lot of upgrades to do and a lot of my friends that also own evos say to leave the bracket to the intake manifold off due to it being so difficult to get to. Is this a bad idea? Im sure it gives the manifold support but is it necessary? For better measure, I'm running a FP Black with supporting mods. This means higher boost pressure and harsher conditions. Thanks guys
I have not heard of any issues relating to a removed bracket. I personally left mine off when I replaced my IM with a Rev3.
I believe if you torque to spec and use a dab of blue Loctite there will be no issues.

left mine off after pulling the mani for egr delete , been running it that way for over a year. makes it a lot nicer to be able to reach down their withought a bracket in the way. Plus most aftermarket intake manifolds dont come with supports.
Especially the Knock Sensor.

They add a lot of precaution from the factory to cover their own a$$ if something was ever to go wrong. However, those precaution's are usually over engineered and provide VERY minimal improvements to justify keeping.
