No Disrespect

Here is how I believe making the for sale forum a lot more enjoyable and convenient for the sellers moderators and buyers. instead of enforcing the listed rules with threats of taking somebody's post down if the written standards are not met, please make it more of an advisory rather then a rule I understand that the potential scammers are being controld this way but the 99.9% of legitement people have to suffer with the inconvenience. simpliest rules of not being scammed are dont send money as gift and describe what your paying for when sending paypal payment, anyways these are just some tought's I love this forum and will continue using the for sale section either way but would appreciate some consideration.
  • PICTURE OF THE ITEM WITH A SIGN CONTAINING THE DATE AND YOUR EVOM USERNAME
  • Price
  • Accurate description of item and its current condition
  • Location of seller
  • Willingness to ship
  • If applicable VIN number - Transmissions, Shortblocks, body parts which have VIN numbers on them. A picture of your username/date next to the visible VIN number is required. VIN should also be in the FS post in plain text.

Its a easy list to follow, why not just do what it says and avoid all the drama all together.

I dont see any problem with the rules. A Picture and a piece of paper stating your name and date are a simple request.

I think they should add the rule of - If you are not willing to ship you should only post in regional sale threads. It's pointless to clutter the regular sale threads if you're not willing to ship.

I agree with others, these rules are there to protect us and are extremely simple, I mean really not even worth mentioning and if you don't wanna comply then don't post because what ever makes things safer for everyone is best. I personally think bank deposits and other payments (except PayPal) should be discouraged as there's no protection.

I never found following the rules to be very difficult, it's not complicated. If you can't be bothered to follow the site rules then selling your item must be way too much work for you.

Maybe the forum leaders may consider it. But im sure they have had enough complaints about people crying about being scammed so thats why the place the rules and enforce them the way they feel most comfortable with. As with the buyer beware policies it is up to everyone to abide by the rules or find another way to sell or buy other items thats just the way it is.
