If you're not familiar with how to service the car, I would take it to the nearest shop that has experience with Evolutions and have them flush the pump. If that doesn't work you'll probably need a new pump.

This problem certainly could be related to the clutch install being done wrong. Sure the ACD system is separate from the clutch, but the ACD has to be bled during the process of taking the tranny out and changing the clutch. Yes, I know there are ways to change the clutch without bleeding the ACD, but in most service manuals bleeding the ACD is instructed. I would take the car back to the shop that did the install. They may not have refilled the ACD system, or they could have used the wrong type of fluid (uses automatic transmission fluid).
The pump may have failed sure but the car stalling is weird, shouldnt have had that effect at all. Were you able to restart it and drive home? Are all 3 ACD lights on?
If you just removed the pump the rear diff and centre diff will always be open which is not good. Not sure if the guy who suggested that was implying all that needed to be sorted but it does of course.
Theres also a good how to rebuild your pump thread here and if you cant manage it at home a half decent shop should be able to. Beats paying 2K+ for a new one.
