Electrical Problem

A few weeks ago i replaced my battery and alternator from Autozone due to my car not starting. I finally got it running but it went back to what it was doing before. My windows take FOREVER to roll up, my lights dim while idling and when my dash lights are on my gear shift lights aren't on and vice versa. Also the light in AC gauges just shut off. I currently drive a 03 lancer oz. Do you guys know where i can take to get this fixed or where i can fix it myself? Thanks

Do you have any kind or multimeter or voltmeter? You could have bad loose or disconnected grounds somewhere or the alternator you got could be a dud. If you can measure volts the car should be around 14v when running. If its higher or lower then you have a problem with the new alternator.

Definitely sounds like a short.

Has your lancer been exposed to any excessive amount of water in the engine bay ?

No it is exposed to the elements bc i live in the barracks in TX. How would i test the voltage? Just turn the car on and connect it to the battery posts (+ & -)?

Yep, just get a DC voltmeter and check the power at the battery.
Should be above 13.5v when running.

^^ these guys clearly know a lot about it

I found out that my B+ fuse was hanging by a thread and basically dead (the yellow 60A fuse that connects the battery to the under the hood fuse box ). Might be a long shot, but it took me forever to figure it out.....
