I know people suggest 2 gauge and whatever but that really seems like overkill, We are not crankin over a diesel..LOL
I wouldnt reccomend it, honestly im running 0 gauge for my positve cables

Batteries normally last 5-7 years depending on how they are maintained..
I use braile mini battery, bomb battery for the price

(^^ my set up)
Circuit breaker is on the custom made brace on the left hand side
Its easily resetable if needed
Good protection if the battery cable shorts out, especially since the cable is run over a long distance

I'd say relocate it to the rear i have relocated it to the trunk and it cleans up the engine bay and you will be shifting weight to the rear and its not hard to do anyways.

you will save alot of money by relocating it to the rear. Even though I am going on 5 years now with my mini AMS kit. Never has failed me yet even in -30 SD weather running e85. Minis are not bad batteries.

I would re-locate. I like the extra space in the engine bay, and the ability to run a gigantic battery with ridiculous amounts of cranking amps

Bump for amperage info ? I can't see the evo pulling more then 125 amps total. My 4 gauge is rated for 150 max at 15 feet... im thinking I should be good...

I just got my mini battery kit today and was wondering how i hook it up? it has two holes that look like im supposed to screw something into them to hold the+ and - down.. can i just use my stock clamps and clamp them on the pole with the holes in the top? and also i didnt realize a mini only had 220CCA thats not a whole lot :/ you sure nobody is having cold start issues haha my battery is an interstate and it has somewhere around 700

dont go mini battery there nice for weight savings, but if your in cold climate area, they dont hold up long, if u have a system even a small one they dont hold up long. My 0.02 optima red top or yellow top and a relocation kit to the trunk, i put my optima red top in same places as djdnav, with a taylor relocation kit, took about 3 hours to install longest part was routing wires, no issues and battery has been in there for about 3 years.
