Help needed, P0120

Hey All,

Car was running fine, i removed the TPS to try on another car, then reinstalled on my car and now the car idles like crap and im getting the P0120 code

Throttle/Petal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Malfunction

Could the TPS be damaged, i cant see how it was fine i removed it put it back on and now this code and it wont idle properly, and nearly stalls.

Any feedback??

Cheers guys

Hey Widge, I've done the same thing and getting this code everytime I start the car.
When you said replaced the TPS, did you mean with a new one or just adjusted it?
My throttle is on 1-2% on idle, so I think it's in the right place, and car runs fine.

Never mind, I just fixed it with; Setting TPS
0% throttle suppose to be between 0.535 & 0.735, but mine was on 0.3, set it to 0.59 and no more CEL

You should be between about 11 and 15% in evoscan at idle (if you dont have a DMM). You were both too low.

11%-15% of 5 volts is 0.55 - 0.75
So mine is 11.8%
