So, EVO Motor Swaps?

So the glorious 4G63T just doesn't do it for some. Granted the 2.4L is pretty common but i just came accross this and was wondering what else is out there....

I saw an evo 8 a few years ago with an LS1 in it, custom drive shaft right to a solid posi rear end. If you have the machines, extra hands, you can weld and you have a lift it wouldn't be too hard. Everyone at my shop has been trying to talk me into doing this for a while now since we have the motor, tranny, and a custom drag racing driveshaft shop next door. I like the 4g63 but I'm sick of people thinking "fast and furious" when I pull up. Becides working for Harley-Davidson and driving ricers don't really mix so I'd like to do the swap someday.

I'm a little surprised that fits in there. It must confuse the hell out of people. Sort of like the '41 willis bodied car that is really an Evo8 underneath.

I think its cool to see something like this. Anytime someone thinks outside the box and is successful in pulling something like this off, I give props to them. And it's not like the LS series motors aren't beast anyways. Kudos to them

It's not AWD anymore. Not sure why anyone would do this when it's cheaper to just go buy a Camaro.

Bah, I'd rather see an east-west small V8 swap that retains the factory AWD.

Something like those small 400hp custom built V8's people use in project cars. I remember seeing someone using one in a small AWD car with the engine located where the passenger would go. About the size of an Atom.

I can't recall the name of the car or the motor unfortunately. Just remember the odd motor location so it could have AWD.

It's cool, no doubt.

Completely destroyed and useless, but cool.
