Well, I tried adding a ground directly from the starter to the bell housing and that didn't work.
I did try running a wire directly from the battery to the "S" terminal and it turned over every time so I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the "S" wire. I just need to try and trace it back to the source (wherever that is) and run a new wire. I'm thinking that's the issue. Does anyone know where the "S" wire goes to? Does it go to the steering column or just to the battery?

The s wire is a hot wire, not a ground wire. I've also tried 3 different starters so I don't think all three have bad solenoids.

I need to retrace the s wire to the source and run a new one. I really think there is a short or break somewhere in it. I tried adding 3 more ground wires with no change. It also does this more when the car is hot.

Any other input? Seems to be getting worse. I'm going to try another battery and see if that helps, not holding my breath though.

Update (for anyone who cares.) I'm thinking it's a parasitic draw. New batter started doing the same thing after a couple of weeks.
